Craft has been a part of my life for what seems like forever. All the members of my family did some sort of crafting from Dad and his late in life painting skills, mum and her needlecrafts, kniting crochet etc. sister Wendy doing lace, tatting, embroidery, knitting and crochet. sister Marion with all sorts of things like glass work, hessian dolls, pergamano and now clay fairy houses and multimedia. Both my brothers Stuart and Bob made model airoplanes. All hobbies, but a valuable part of their lives.Suprisingly enough, we have all taken on Dad's love of gardening.

I have always been diverse in my crafting skills starting with knitting at a very early age and then crochet, embroidery, sewing (I made a lot of my own clothes growing up). When the children arrived I made their clothes and knitted layettes until they took up so much of my time I had to channel my crafting into projects that included them. We did cooking, the usual cakes and buns with the fun bit licking out the bowl. Well that happened most times but Chris did like to put the bowl on his head from time to time. We made things out of paper and cardboard, got messy with paint, drew pictures and made patterns with autumn leaves. As they got older it was left to me to design and make dance costumes which was an outlet for my creativity.

And then they left home !!!!!!!!!!

Now it was time for me to get back to the crafting I loved. I was at a clients house one day and there were squares of paper on the table and origami cranes. That took me back to the book my mum gave me with blow up frogs, cranes, houses, boats and hats. I hadn't really forgotten it, turning my hand to folding napkins for a catering exhibition and making the odd crane over the years. Now my obsession began and with the help of the internet I found my love of paper folding again. Next question was, what to do with these pieces of art and how could I channel it into something I had created from scratch, my own design. I started taking them to craft fairs and even hosted my own markets for a couple of years.

Then fate played it's hand !!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of the blue I found myself in hospital, and life was never quite the same.

Having to take 2 months off work gave me the time to explore different crafts. My eyesight had been affected and folding paper was no longer possible as I couldn't see to fold in detail anymore. Then my sister found string things and my life turned a corner. I made various things like plant pot holders and baskets and beautiful hessian and jute string flowers.

Then I found wine bottles, juice bottles, any bottles and my house began to look like the local pub after hours. I covered them with string and beads, hessian flowers were included and each one was unique. I just loved what  I was creating.  I was being allowed to do my own thing, my own designs, my head was cramed full of so many ideas I didn't know where to start.

And so Crazy Crafts was created.

I want to share my creations with YOU. No two bottles are the same (unless that's what you want) There are other things besides the bottles such as patio lights and photo/memo strings and of course flowers. Hessian ones, string ones and fabric. I can also do paper ones if required.
The items you see are one off purchases and will be taken down when sold. All purchases will be made on my facebook page I will keep photos of all designs on my facebook page as well so you can browse there if you would like to see what I have made that you may not have seen before,  Some bottles come in sets and will be sold that way unless you say anything different. I am open to suggestions and nothing is too much trouble. If you would like a certain colour or design then I will try my best to do that for you too.

All I ask is for you to be patient and polite, as it may take a little bit longer than you would like in some cases.

Once again, thank you for visiting my site and I hope you like what you see.
